About
Hey Y’all,
I’m Southern Blogger. In this blog I will guide you through Southern culture from a semi-satirical perspective. Everything you need to know about BBQ, Bow Ties, Dueling, the Civil War, SEC football, and anything else that catches my fancy.

Looking great! Cant wait to read more!

Y’all keep right on keepin’ on….
I only have one question. Why are the times of the posts recorded in Greenwhich Mean Time? That just ain’t southern.
HaHa…um because Southern Blogger hasn’t figured out how to change that yet.
My blood runs gray, in a way, because it is really red…but gray….that’s sorta gross when you think about it, cause that could just mean I’m dead…but I’m not.
Anyway, this is a dadgum cool blog. Next time you come through Chattanooga let me know. We can both stand on top of Lookout Mountain and wonder, “How the heck did we lose?”
Thanks A.C.,
I stumbled onto your site searching for humor blogs and your article on spam came up. however, the serious side of me, is quite intrigued by the main focus of your blog. In fact some of your thoughts on faith mirror recent conversations I’ve had just this week.
We shall talk more on this I think. And should I get down Chattanooga way I’d be happy to talk of “outlawed tunes on outlawed pipes” so to speak.

P.S. General Lee also regards your blog highly, Andy Jackson…not so much…he tends to be more legalistic, but he gets the red blood sentiments.
Someone linked to your blog and I really like it. I’m adding you to my blog roll on Pop South, my own blog on the South in popular culture.
Hi Karen,
Thanks for the link. I’ve gotten several hits from your site already.
I’ve just finished reading your posts and I like what I saw.
The South of the Border article was esp. interesting. The South as you write is complicated and racial/class/cultural divisions are not (and have never been) as cut and dry as those outside might assume.
The “Southern enigma” is indeed both charming and damning…which is indeed an enigma.
I’m new to blogging but I figured out how to start a blog roll, and your site is proudly displayed on it.
Thanks again,
Mark
Mark,
I’m also new to blogging, so I imagine we both are on a learning curve. I’m enjoying your cartoons!
